Hey! I'm Rachel - Illustrator, maker and mother. I live in Frome (Somerset)and work from my home studio with my partner. I love all things nature, drawing, crafts, colour, food and more! As a mother riding the wave of parenthood, my daughter is my biggest inspiration and driving force in everything that I do. As a local 'Fromie', I have met so many other creatives and now take part in many local events - such as the renowned Frome Independent Market. Meeting the wonderful Ryan and Emma of Maker's Yard a few years back was the beginning of a new chapter, togther we spoke about joining forces and starting up a new Art Club for kids.Makers’ Yard is an artist-run project space in Frome. Their methodology is deliberately multifaceted, exploring the space between creating work as artists, curating and facilitating the work of others and building a grassroots community space for contemporary culture. Originally part of a Victorian tannery, the Makers' yard warehouse has been re-established as a valued creative hub, housing an event space, artist studios and community yard. The space also hosts a growing programme of exhibitions, workshops, screenings, performances and co-authored arts and culture projects.And here we are, just about to launch our first M.Y Art Club - how exciting!
