Seyyide Sultan is well-known in the New England area as a teacher, choreographer and performer of Egyptian Raks Sharqi (commonly referred to as belly dance) for 18 years, and has trained with many of the top Egyptian and USA dance artists and choreographers, as well as one year in Argentina with Amir Thaleb and Saida. Her classes have ranked among the top 3 dance classes in the Boston A-List (2012, 2013, 2014). After participating as a member of two prestigious dance companies (Amir Thaleb’s “Arabian Dance Company” and Ahmet’s Luleci “Collage”) Seyyide was inspired to found her own dance group, which she called “Sarab-Mirage”, back in 2001. Seyyide is the director and choreographer for the group.
