MRU started in 2020 as a coalition of independent restaurant professionals advocating for our industry and working to survive, repair and rebuild in the time of COVID-19. As we emerge from the pandemic, and as MRU continues to evolve, we’ve discovered our work is just beginning. Our new mission is to educate, elevate, inspire, and advocate for a prosperous and equitable future for all locally and independently owned Massachusetts restaurants.
