Cre8ive Arts CIC is a new community interest company created in response to the call for individuals and organisations to re-think and re-imagineways that our communities may recover and strengthen as we re-open from the devastating impact of the Covid-19 lockdowns.Visual arts and crafts have long been proven to be therapeutic, helping people feel more able to express themselves, providing relief from anxiety and depression, also being particularly effective in times of crisis.We seek to revitalise disused and under-utilised community spaces and venues in order to host, nurture and deliver innovative and interactive art workshops, led by experienced artists and practitioners within the local community. Cre8ive Arts CIC was created from the team behind Azawala, a South London based art and creative space company set up over 10 years ago to highlight and create awareness of contemporary African art in London.
