Dessie Underwood, Ph.D. is a retired professor from CSU Long Beach where she taught ecology, entomology, introductory biology, and served as department chair for Biological Sciences. She and her wife, Wendy Willis, founded DW Farms in 2024, where they offer California native and drought tolerant plants for the Paso Robles area.
