Erica started selling the pierogi she had been making her entire life starting in 2014 while working at a dive bar in Hamtramck. What started off as a way to feed hungry friends, using techniques passed down through generations of family grew into creative inspired fillings from all experiences in life. As the demand grew for the product and Erica received press write ups, the idea of taking something so small and personal began to get talks of becoming a business. Four years later, Pietrzyk Pierogi was founded in 2017.
