Classic Lear Jet Foundation is an IRS not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation formed for the purpose of restoring the first ever purpose-built business jet that was delivered to a customer, the Lear Jet Model 23 Serial Number 23-003. The Foundation's mission is to RESTORE the aircraft to flying condition. To CONNECT with the public to keep the story alive of the jet that started an industry by preserving a piece of legendary flight history! To EDUCATE students of all ages in the process and the story of how the Lear Jet aircraft was born, and how the Foundation's centerpiece, Lear Jet serial number 23-003 is being restored to flying condition.
