Heya! I’m Alexandra Joy — you can call me Alex or Alex Joy.Fun fact: my laugh is always the first thing people comment on. It’s loud, unapologetic, and has a habit of bringing others a smile or even a laugh of their own! As a teenager, I was mortified by my booming outbursts and tried (unsuccessfully) to stifle them. Somewhere in my mid-20s, I embraced my "ungiving-a-fuck" era, and now? My laugh is one of my favourite things about me!I’ve always been told I bring joy to any room I step into (fitting, since my middle name is literally Joy). In the last few years, I’ve come to see this as more than just a coincidence — it’s a superpower. Creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and held, while also inviting in lightness and joy, is what I’m here to do. It’s at the heart of everything I share through A Joyful Life.I used to be the ultimate yes-woman, constantly overwhelmed and overstimulated, filling my days with busyness to keep up with societal expectations. But deep down, I felt unfulfilled and burnt out.Through self-discovery, I let go of the “shoulds” and tapped into my authentic genius. I realized my true calling:✨ Connecting with others✨ Building meaningful relationships✨ Creating safe spaces for self-discoveryThis realization led me to leave teaching for work that aligns with my soul, offering more joy and less burnout. Now, I live my purpose in all aspects of life, in my work, relationships, in small interactions, it’s all part of who I am. And I choose to create joy by focusing on what truly matters to me: memories with loved ones, savouring life’s small joys, and staying grateful, even in tough times. I’ve gone from overworked and undervaluing myself to creating space for the life my soul desires.Once you allow space to explore your true essence, understanding your gifts and strengths, everything shifts. You can live life on your terms, and that's where I come in. I support women in unlocking their true potential!
