VISION: The Colorado Parent Advocacy Network (CPAN) is a collaborative statewide network in which parents, stakeholders and educators can purposefully work together to restore a rigorous, non-political, safe and joyful educational experience for students. This is achieved through a culture of accountability for academic excellence, accessibility to school choice, partnerships with families, and curricula transparency.MISSION: The Colorado Parent Advocacy Network (CPAN) is a 501c4 statewide organization that is guided by America's founding principles. CPAN provides the following resources and support to ensure the children of Colorado receive a quality education:School-based audits to ensure institutional practices allow for safe and equal opportunity, freedom of speech, and an age-appropriate, balanced curriculum that is absent of political agendas guaranteeing the opportunity for all students to be supported on their individual pathways.The CPAN Seal of Approval to schools that demonstrate a commitment to ensuring district transparency, accountability, partnerships with families and that curricula are guided by academic excellence and aligned with non-political, common-sense values.Educational resources, informational classes and advocacy support for parents and stakeholders.Mentorship for establishing an advocacy group.Connections for educators to support transparency, create community and access alternative resources for professional liability protection.Advocacy at the state level on topics such as academic standards, parents' rights, and accessibility to school choice.
