South Chicago Neighborhood Network (SCNN) is one of the 10 Neighborhood Networks of United Way of Metro Chicago. SCNN uses the Collective Impact model, a group of stakeholders working on the same the vision and common agenda, in order to reach its goal of having a trauma-informed community by the year 2020, (please see Bold Goal below). Claretian Associates is the lead organization, for SCNN. The network is composed of approximately 15 community stakeholders, which includes residents, non-profit organizations, law enforcement, faith-based and education institutes. We aim to form partnerships with community stakeholders, for the purpose of a healthy, safe, and trauma-informed neighborhood.Network Vision:The People's Place; We will reinvent South Chicago to become the community of choice by creating a safe, healthy, a strong community where neighbors know one another and have a shared commitment to the future by promoting mental health and trauma-informed care through advocacy, education and self- sufficiency.Common AgendaThe South Chicago Neighborhood Network will create a trauma-informed community to advance wellness (including physical and mental health) to improve our quality of life.
