Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Founded in October 1924, the organization currently has more than 313,000 members in 14,650 clubs in 126 countries. Each week, Toastmasters helps more than a quarter million people of every ethnicity, education level and profession build their competence in communication so they can gain the confidence to lead others.In Nigeria Toastmasters was officially introduced into Nigeria in 2005 through the pioneering efforts of Ambassador Vincent Sunny Okobi. Presently, Nigeria is home to twenty-three chartered Toastmasters Clubs with Eagles Toastmasters Club, being the premier Toastmasters Club and plans are underway to form Toastmasters Clubs in other parts of Lagos as well as in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar and other parts of Nigeria.Seaside Toastmasters was the first club birthed by Eagles Toastmasters holds its meetings on the first and second Saturdays of every month from 1pm to 3pm
