Dave is Pub Heritage Officer for Sheffield and District CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).Dave edited the Sheffield Real Heritage Pub Book. This continues to be available as a free download:www.sheffieldcamra.org.uk/rhpThe second edition (2019), fourth (2021) and fifth (2023) editions were available as hard copy. All are sellouts. Dave has also edited two 32-page Sheffield-based pub walk booklets (2023, 2024). The 2023 booklet is sold out, copies of the 2024 booklet (‘Little Chicago’) are currently available. Further booklets are planned for 2025 (Neepsend) and 2026 (Kelham Island).Dave was shortlisted for the 2018 Citizen Communicator Award (British Guild of Beer Writers).
