Born at the foot of Mount Etna, based in Brussels for over eleven years. After more than a decade working in cultural and event production – both freelance and within organizations – I’ve recently reconnected with another passion: wine. I trained in tasting (Sommeitaly ASBL), travelled to meet small producers, and began building a personal project that brings together events, craftsmanship, and terroir. This is how Damgiàn was born. The name is inspired by the French dame-jeanne – the “demijohn” – a vessel that traditionally held wine destined to be shared. Large, rounded, wrapped in wicker, it is a symbol of abundance, community, and resilience.Today, artisanal winemakers are bringing it back for ageing: its thick glass and slow oxygen exchange enhance the vitality of the wine, making it more alive and expressive.Damgiàn speaks to curious newcomers and professionals alike – those who seek wines off the beaten path, beyond industrial logic.A return to origins, with an eye toward the future.
