Dominican College Sion Hill is a voluntary secondary school for girls, under the trusteeship of Le Chéile. Established in 1836, and based in Blackrock Co Dublin, Sion Hill is one of the oldest girls’ secondary schools in Ireland.The school is a vibrant community of 500+ students, teachers and parents and is guided by the Dominican ethos of educating the whole person. Our aim is to help each student achieve her full potential academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially in a happy secure environment.Collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, resilience and empathy are valued and nurtured. Sion Hill’s broad academic curriculum is complemented by a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities; from Leadership committees to Hockey practice, School Musicals to Debating there are many ways for students to discover and develop their potential and continue a great education tradition started over 180 years ago.
