In 2011, Susan Jones had the vision to better education systems most often presented with challenging behavior from students. Little did she know, within only a few years she would be training organizations, police, juvenile justice, district attorneys, schools, districts and county office of educations, and many, many more.Susan lead in district workshops and coached hundreds of classroom teachers which lead to lessening many of the inequities observed, created increased engagement and learning, empowered educators in fostering relationships with connection, awareness, and resilience within classrooms, with students, with their families and each other by instilling simple systems change in increasing a truly trauma informed approach throughout generations of traditional and socially accepted systems often unintentionally (and sometimes INtentionally) causing harm.Her vision began as a free resource she could recommend to the many she was working with, a Facebook page, then Instagram and grew into a community of organizations, educators, families, students and community members engaging, connecting and wanting to learn more.Susan brings 25+ years of individual experience and a vision to build connected, aware, resilient environments where colleagues, students, staff, families and people have the chance to thrive, better.Susan's experience in the trauma-informed approach to behavioral intervention and support with ACEs science, resilience-building expertise to organizations seeking to support environments into calm, productive, and equitable systems has included leadership in Resilient Sacramento, Resilient Yolo, ACEs trainer, Behavior Specialist/Analyst, Moderate/Severe Teacher and Consultant.
