In 2013, I became a licensed Registered Nurse in Brooklyn, NY, fueled by a deep desire to bring love into healthcare. Even as a teenager, I was acutely aware of the lack of love in the world, and I made a vow to be part of the movement toward a care system rooted in compassion and connection.However, my early years in nursing revealed a different reality—one where love was often absent in medical spaces, replaced by fear-driven protocols. Determined to find a different way, I became a DONA-certified doula in 2015 and traveled to Peru, hoping to learn how to support birthing women with love as the guiding force. Yet, I encountered more of the same—fear overshadowing trust in the body's innate wisdom. When I returned to the US in 2016 I started my first doula business in Miami, FL. I humbly utilized my doula training with Debora Pasculai-Bonaro, my clients received attentive care and nurturing as well as the knowledge of birth I accumulated at the time to assist with their birth plan and decision making. The skill that always stood out was my ability to attune to each woman I supported and an unwavering commitment to sustained support through each contraction. These unique skills have been the source of immense positive feedback since I was a young women in nursing school to now as I take a limited number of private clients to guide through birth.My greatest perceived weakness was the gap in knowledge of high risk birth and the physiology of when things go "wrong" for mom and baby. I applied my hard earned nursing degree and began working nights as a labor & delivery nurse. I vowed to stay tethered to my intuition and knowing that birth is a normal physiological process . For seven years, I worked in labor and delivery units across Florida and Maine, as well as in birth centers and home births. I saw firsthand how fear-based thinking disrupts the natural flow of birth and parenthood. It wasn’t until 2023, when I reignited my doula practice after teaching at Breath of Life Birth Center (now Guiding Star) since 2020, that I witnessed a birth that changed me forever.I had the privilege of supporting a woman through her home VBAC, where she embodied pure faith and meditation, unwavering in her focus on love. This birth was a revelation—uniting my personal journey with my professional mission. It became clear: the heart-brain connection isn't just a concept; it’s the foundation of a powerful, transformative birth experience.This led me to deep research into heart-brain coherence, neuroscience, and quantum physiology, exploring the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza, Kathryn Snyder, and Rollin McCraty, Ph.D. What I discovered was groundbreaking—so much science-backed research on heart-brain coherence, yet none of it applied to birth! I am committed to filling that gap, bringing intuitive, heart-led care to every woman I work with and igniting a shift in the collective consciousness around birth.My mission is to integrate cutting-edge research with the sacred art of birth, making heart-brain coherence the leading practice in birth and motherhood preparation.
