We're Soul on Fire Dance,a burlesque performance collective and adult dance studio in Southern California.We were founded out of a strong individual and collective need for a supportive, intersectional, and honest creative environment rooted in community. As a collective of dancers from vast community backgrounds, we understand and believe that tolerance is not the same as acceptance. As such, our core values are centered around a safe environment that actively promotes:1. Body diversity and deconstructing ableist ideologies2. Artistic exploration3. Love of self and community4. Respect, Empathy, Kindness and Compassion5. Authenticity and transparency6. An ongoing commitment to be better allies, better community members, and adjust accordinglyWe perform in a range of Burlesque styles, from classical to neo-burlesque, be it cheeky PG rated pieces to raucous NC-17 extravaganza's to tease your very core. (Note: Burlesque performances do NOT contain nudity - and that's part of the allure!)Our lovely collective of dancers also has a vast background in other dance styles to tantalize you! Bellydance, ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary, hip hop, and more!Our founder,Ginger Fataleis most excited to see the various waysSoul on Fire Danceencourages others to come into their own and how that translates into those around them. This collective also puts money where their mouth is as proceeds from every show and workshop go toward a variety of agreed upon causes and organizations, while also amplifying their diverse collective members as they are committed to working on a safer and better community for all!
