It all began right before my 40th birthday. I started taking African hand drumming lessons and this whole new world opened up to me. It felt like I was on the path to something amazing and it really turned out that way. My first drumming conference was my first real experience with energy and the powerful healing that can come from energy work.Three years later, I was introduced to Reiki with no real knowledge or experience with it. I had heard of it and it sounded interesting. So I went to the first Reiki class. As soon as my teacher walked in the door and I looked in her eyes, I knew I was home. This was my path and it was going to change my life in profound ways. During the first break, I went outside to ground myself and there I had the most profound experience I have ever had. It was a direct connection to the Divine and I was in a trance for 15 minutes. While in that trance, I had multiple visions, some of which have since come true. One vision was that I was going to be teaching Reiki, at that same festival, and that my teacher would be unable to make it. Two years ago, that vision came to fruition.I have incorporated Reiki to every aspect of my life and I truly live Reiki, every day. It has changed my world for the better including healing some of my physical issues, like migraines.Since then I have been teaching Reiki at this same festival and I am now ready to expand my teaching to others. In present times, Reiki could help in many ways. It can help you center, and remain centered and balanced, regardless of what else is happening. My goal is to teach Reiki to all who want it so that they can help themselves and those around them, including family, friends, and coworkers. The healing power of Reiki can also stretch out to the trees, plants, earth and the universe.
