We mix a range of tribal bellydance influenced styles to discover our inner exotic through a dance form that deeply connects us with powerful energy.Sparklebellydance provides 1 hour classes in local venues for those who want to learn bellydance mixed with tribal fusion and have fun.Learn beautiful undulations, accents and shimmies in this stunning dance form to bellydance music or a live drum.Also available to host at your venue for your private party/ special occasion dancing to beautiful music or if preferred a live drum with my partner Olly. We move in a powerful dance which gets our hips moving with undulations, shimmies and beautiful arms. These packages include photographic backdrop, film, photos, exotic costumes and laughter!About Sparkle Belly Dance:I started dancing when I went through a near death experience and came out the other side wanting to connect with my inner woman. My baby survived and has grown into a beautiful human being and as she has grown I have too with my dance which started when she was born. My partner joined me in drum and dance camps and workshops when both our children were little and he has practiced with professional drummers such as Chas Whittaker and Guy Schalom.My first experience was with the classes of the truly amazing Karine Butchart in traditional belly dance and then when Karine no longer taught in Bristol I was fortunate enough to study dance with the classes of Wendy Buonaventura and Jacqui Jamal.After a few years I became fascinated by tribal fusion and joined Victoria Pearl Boheme's classes in Bristol. I studied ATS for over 8 years which has given me such an awesome grounding in another type of belly dance alongside the traditional oriental style. I performed my first solo in July 2014 at Gothla UK Leicester and then danced at my friend's handfasting in Glastonbury.I have since written several solo choregraphies and performed at Gothla 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 Scarlett Lotus Hafla in Glastonbury, Malmesbury and for 2 years running at The Moon and Stars Showcase to raise money for cancer, Fuchsia's Charity Hafla in 2022 Milton Keynes to raise money for a local hospice under the stage name Orgone. In addition I have been performing at Tribal Fantasy, Swindon Shimmyers and Anna Chandler's haflas. I attend national workshops with a range of teachers such as Morgana, Alexis, Anasma, Amy Sigil, Darkstar, April Rose, Ebony Qualls, Catherine Taylor, Kathleen Pearlson, Edenia Achuleta, Zoe Jakes, Rachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Ida Mahin and Sharon Kihara to name but a few and have studied tribal drum solo dancing to my partner's tabla. I make all my own costumes and write all my own choreographies.I have been teaching as sparklebellydance since July 2020 which during Covid was forced online and we were back in person in Nov 21.I run Sparklebellydance which provides weekly wed eve classes at 6.30pm in Pill, Bristol BS20 and workshops at other venues. I am available to book for parties for people who want to discover their inner sparkle in a fun way which includes dancing to a live drum and having fun with costumes. I am a coach and trainer of 20 plus years and my partner is a drummer and qualified teacher.  I am currently offering open classes in Bristol and North Somerset for those who want to learn tribal infusion inspired bellydance with others.I look forward to seeing you at a monthly or weekly class or party!
