Gather DC was born from a longing to stay together — and care for one another.For years, we searched for a place where we could go as a family without being pulled apart. But it didn’t exist. Not at school. Not at church. Not in sports. Everywhere we went, we were divided — by age, by ability, by roles and responsibilities. There wasn’t anywhere we could simply be together, as a family, with other families.So we decided to create that space ourselves.Gather DC operates with a nonprofit mindset, but we’ve formed as an LLC to stay free from politics, red tape, and institutional delays. We’re community-supported, Christ-led, and open to anyone who wants to join in.We’re building a community where families gather, neighbors know and help each other, and the word “community” becomes synonymous with family. A place where crime naturally drops, joy rises, and kindness grows.You can support Gather DC through our Gather Here and Give fund!This fund allows you to meet a neighbor’s immediate need now — and strengthen family connections for the future.We help neighbors in need with meals, drinks, clothing, and essentials through our partner businesses. At the same time, we fund free, family-friendly gatherings right here in the District — spaces where families can stay together, play together, and do life together.Our fall goal is $5,000. Half of every donation meets a neighbor’s need right away. The other half funds welcoming, family-centered events for our community.You can support us here:
