HSG is the Bundaberg Region’s Premier Event destination that specialise in Weddings, Corporate Events and Private Functions.Our core values are focussed around utilising local commodities first, creating unique dining memories and custom experiences that showcase our region.HSG At The Gardens’ vision is to provide our diners the ability to eat the best produce available, grown & harvested in season, enjoying optimum quality from their dining Experience.We pride ourselves on our passionate team and we are always striving to create an iconic food brand that globally puts the Bundaberg region on the map for both locals and visitors to enjoy.Our Food Providence Program- A large priority for us is around food miles. We genuinely have reduced the number of suppliers we work with to a key few as these suppliers are focussed on local sourcing & have similar values as us- Local First!Why should we have to wait to get access to local products? They shouldnt have to be grown, picked, packed and shipped to Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne before making a return trip to Bundaberg for consumption.We grow a small quantity of our own commodities- Pumpkins, selected herbs, mulberries, Vanilla Beans, tomatoes, edible greens and primarily for use in the cooking classes as part of the pick your own concept and get folks familiar with where their food comes from.We have been working on a number of key Environmental Goals since our inception as we are fortunate to be set on 4 acres. We are consistently creating processes to reduce our carbon footprint & increase any level of sustainability practices across our business.We are an active participant in the 1million tree program that the Bundaberg Regional Council launched in 2021. We have not only accessed a number of trees through the Bundaberg Landcare Program, though we have propagated vast numbers of trees ourselves for planting in open grassed areas.We have a large dam that has been removed of major noxius weeds, we have planted trees around the edge and have mulched large areas of garden beds to reduce water usage and encourage wildlife back to the waters edge.As we are on a septic system, we aim to reduce the use of toxic chemicals and search for low phosporous options where possible and we utilise our grey water after its treated through our water system to irrigate the lower lawn area at HSG.Customer service for the HSG team is a voluntary act that demonstrates a genuine desire to satisfy and amaze our guests.
