In January 2020, April M. Jackson established PASS Network. PASS is an acronym for parental access to student support. PASS Network seeks to improve parental engagement and options in education, provide student support and enhance teacher development in underserved communities.April decided to launch PASS Pod, a small group learning community for children ages 4-13 in S. Atlanta. PASS Pod combines the high expectations for all children promoted in traditional public and charter schools, the individualized learning opportunities for each child provided by homeschools, and a culturally relevant pedagogy that promotes identity, equity, and achievement to create a learning environment where every child will succeed.April has more than a decade of experience in education as a teacher and instructional coach. She specializes in culturally responsive teaching, curriculum design, and educator development.
