The Vienna Opera Competition is an international platform dedicated to discovering and elevating the next generation of opera singers. Held in the historic Mozarthaus—Mozart’s former residence in the heart of Vienna—the competition celebrates vocal artistry, tradition, and excellence. Open to singers aged 18 to 32, participants submit two arias for consideration: one by any Classical or later composer, and one by Mozart. Finalists are invited to Vienna to perform live on August 5, 2025, in a concert broadcast globally via YouTube. With over €10,000 in prizes and accommodation provided for all finalists, the competition offers not only recognition, but a rare chance to launch an international career from the birthplace of opera’s greatest legacy.
