I’m Lebo Goad, a passionate South African yoga teacher trainer and prenatal yoga instructor. My journey into yoga began with a desire to create positive change within my community. I believe in the transformative power of yoga; not just as a personal practice but as a vehicle for social change and community wellness.As a lululemon ambassador and a prenatal international ambassador, I strive to bring the benefits of yoga to diverse and underserved populations. My experience teaching in various settings, including prisons, refugee centers, foster care facilities, hospitals, schools, and military veterans, has deepened my commitment to making yoga accessible to everyone. Each class I teach is founded on the African philosophy of Ubuntu, which denotes our interconnectedness as a human race; "I am, because we are." This is what drives my greatest intention of fostering healing, resilience, and unity.My educational background in law complements my dedication to advocacy and equity in wellness. As a participant in the 2023 Teaching for Equity program with the Yoga Alliance Foundation, I am continuously evolving in how I approach teaching and community engagement. I genuinely believe that through yoga, we can cultivate mindfulness, social awareness, and a sense of belonging. I look forward to continuing this journey of teaching yoga for social change and promoting holistic wellness within my community and beyond.
