Child and Family Advocates of Cuyahoga County (CFACC) improves the lives of children and families involved in the juvenile justice, child welfare, and family law systems through service as volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates; education and training, advocacy, practice, and policy development; and collaborative alliances with related organizations.CFACC approaches child advocacy in a unique way. GALs and CASAs are assigned as partners to advocate for the best interests of the children in a family, whether one child or a sibling group. This dual representation enhances the quality of advocacy provided for children in the Juvenile Court. Both the CASA and GAL bring different skills and different perspectives; however, each has one common goal – providing the highest quality advocacy for the best interests of each child.MISSION: To make a difference for every child served through advocacy, education, and collaborative alliances.VISION: Every child is seen, heard, and engaged, leading to permanency and hope.VALUES: We are first and foremost child-centered. We understand, recognize, and respond to trauma. We willingly give our time. We value and respect diversity. We give children a voice. We strengthen families.
