History - La Union Protectiva Femenina was established in 1923 by local Hispanic women from Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico to assisttheir hermanas in need with burial expenses. The daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters, nieces and friends continue the tradition and celebrate the women who led before us.
