Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Australia was established in August 2020 to provide Australian women with an opportunity to engage with the wider, international community of women in cyber security as well as industry professionals within Australia.The purpose of WiCyS Australia is to advance the cyber security discipline and profession by retaining, recruiting, and promoting the presence and leadership of women, non-binary individuals and allies who are passionate in the field of cyber security.We have lofty goals! Our leadership team aim to:Empower our WiCyS Australian membership with the support and guidance to lead and grow as leaders in cyber security.Promote cyber security as a life skill in the community.Support Australian Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander women and girls to succeed in a cyber security career.Contribute to global cyber security academic research and education.Forge international connections through our cyber security mentoring program.
