ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF:My name is Lea Pfeiffer. I first visited Puerto Rico in 2010, and immediately resolved to one day live here. I was drawn to the vibrancy of life on the island. The capacity for joy and celebration even under the harshest circumstances reminded me of my Cajun grandma. She survived enough hardship to fill numerous lifetimes, yet her radiant smile and kindness never faltered.Equally as awe-inspiring is the irrepressible beauty of nature. From the beaches to the mountains, life abounds. This is what inspires much of my artwork. When I moved here in 2018, the only thing I brought with me was 12 large moving boxes almost entirely full of crafting supplies. It was my goal to begin creating and ultimately to sell my handcrafts and artwork. Unfortunately, life has a way of surprising you. Covid, cat rescue, and health issues postponed my plans for many years. But now I have resolved to make those dreams a reality. Taller Posibilidades is the result. Why "posibilidades"? Because anything is possible. You can make something from nothing if you just imagine it. A piece of trash can become a thing of beauty. Many of my souvenirs are repurposed items that might otherwise have landed up in a landfill. When I see an object, I immediately see the possibility of what that object could become. Turning that vision into reality is a great source of joy for me, and I want to help others to experience that joy.Taller Posibilidades is not just a souvenir shop. It is my hope that it will be a place where people can gather to create and express themselves. I offer pre-made, simple craft kits. You can bring them home with you to save for a rainy day, but I would love for you to stay and work on them as I work on my own projects. Bring your family and your friends and spend time together creating. Have a different project in mind? My materials are at your disposal. Or, if you have your own project you're working on and you just want to hang out, you are more than welcome.I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOUI
