YEGarden Suites emerged out of a pursuit to educate and support Edmontonians on Laneway Housing. In recent years, we have witnessed a growing desire for people to build smaller homes in their own backyards (i.e. Garden Suites). Some want to house aging parents close to home, some wish to downsize but remain in their home neighbourhood, and others want to generate rental income to help pay off their mortgage.  Whatever the reason, Garden Suites, along with other forms of infill development are good for individuals, neighbourhoods, and our city as a whole. Established in 2017, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, authentic relationships, and collaborative practices. We aim to empower the everyday city-builders and early adopters of Laneway Homes, while striving to create a healthier, happier, more sustainable city.
