Hala and Nuha Alaw are 200hr RYT. They are originally from Iraq, and they moved to the US in 2013 as refugees. Due to war and terrorism, they left their home counter with their parents in 2006 and moved to Syria, and lived there for 4 years. They moved to Jordan in 2010 to start their application to move to the US, not knowing if they will going to join their mom and brother soon in the US or not. All these facts built a lot of anxiety, fear, and insecurity. Their applications got approved and they moved to the US in 2013 as refugees and became US citizens in 2019. If you are interested to learn more about their story please check this onyoutube.They started practicing yoga in 2016 and have been practicing ever since.Hala " Yoga helped me with creating a connection between my mind and body, and building/toning muscles".Nuha " Yoga helped me to reduce my anxiety and manage panic attacks".Hala and Nuha wanted to be yoga instructors to share the benefits that they gained from their daily practice and help people find and blend their true values into their practice. They completed their 200 hours of teacher training in 2021 and started teaching yoga together in a dynamic due ever since.They teach Power Vinyasa, Yin Yang, Yin & Sound Bath, Chair Yoga, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.Nuha is a Business Analyst at HCA Healthcare and Hala is a Sr. Quality Assurance analyst at Vanderbilt. Besides work and teaching yoga, you can find them paddle boarding, baking bread, and having fun with family and friends.
