Hi friends, I'm Ali and your instructor for the Yoga for Gardening class!A little about me - I was certified in Vinyasa Yoga and Yoga Therapeutics in the UK in 2020. I returned home in 2021 since then have completed training in mobility, barre, and reformer Pilates - which do tend to creep into my yoga flows often. With seven classes a week, I devote myself to the intricate dance between the physical body and the nervous system, uncovering strength, flexibility, and mobility—not just in how we move, but in how to make it efficient and effective.Since moving back home to Canada, I discovered another love—growing flowers on my farm, where the rhythm of nature mirrors the ebb and flow of movement. Since I spend quite a bit of time moaning and groaning in the garden, I had a thought for a yoga flow: a class where yoga and gardening entwine, helping us cultivate not only the earth but also the body—limiting the aches and pains of tending to the land while planting seeds of mindfulness!This class will be a blend of strength and flexibility - meshing the range of motion that we need to get deep into the garden bed AND maintaining strength to get us back up and out of the garden!Can't wait to flow with you!
