The Wonderers Education focuses on fostering curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences for children. We provide classes, workshops, and programs designed to spark wonder in various subjects such as art, science, nature, or creativity. We hope to cultivate a sense of exploration and discovery, creating environments where learners can actively engage, question, and grow.Since 2011, our founder, Chelsea Petrozzo has been a teacher in both a private and public school setting in New York. Throughout that time, she has regularly tutored children from Pre-K through 5th grade and has seen a growing need for private tutoring in the education space, specifically elementary education. Through games and meaningful interactions, Chelsea has been able to help children to master their schoolwork while developing their confidence and developing their own love for learning . During the pandemic, Chelsea took on small group tutoring sessions as well as virtual tutoring, expanding on the amount of children she worked with, and encouraging her to bring that love of learning to more children across the country through The Wonderers.Chelsea has a Masters degree from Bank Street College of Education with a major in Early Childhood Education. She has a Montessori Certification, Special Education extension certification, and a New York State Teaching License. She has created curriculum for educational apps, lead professional development for other teachers, and is well versed in New York Common Core Curriculum.
