Angie Brown is anOVERCOMER! She has had to overcome so many tribulations in life but she does not allow that to stop her from being the caring, courageous, and resilient woman that she is. In 2018 she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) after visiting the ER with leg/side pains but was initially sent home after being given a shot for sciatica. She has undergone numerous treatments such as a bone marrow transplant, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, radiation, and CAR-T cell therapy while maintaining her belief and optimism. To keep family and friends updated on her condition, she started doing live videos on Facebook and titled them #CancerChronicles. These videos turned into something much more as she started getting messages from people experiencing their own journeys not limited to cancer of how her videos were providing hope and healing.Angie is now a3x Cancer survivorand wants to create a safe space to have open and honest conversations not only about cancer but any issues that may be causingDIS-EASEin one's life. She understands the importance of community and wants to assist others on their journeys by having other survivors share their stories and also having professionals offer their expertise and provide resources to aid in the process. Her mission is simple: to provide hope, encouragement, and resources for others to thrive, despite the challenges they face.
