Armoured Combat Gloucester

We are Armoured Combat Gloucester, a Gloucester based medieval fight club. We train and compete across all categories of Historical Medieval Battle – a new type of martial art that brings history and full-contact sport together. Inspired by medieval knight's tourneys, HMB combines historical armour and weapons with a modern ruleset to create a new, adrenaline fueled full-contact sport. It is sometimes referred to as 'armoured MMA', as the fighters are allowed to combine fencing techniques with Judo, Muay Thai, and other martial arts moves – all wearing a full suit of steel armour.Learn more about the sportWe hold regular weekly classes for men and women – our female team,Hellions, is among the strongest women's teams in the UK – and attend competitions both in the UK and abroad.
