Curated Storefrontbegan as a 2016 John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Knight Arts Challenge grantee. In 2019, Art Resources Transformations (ART) DBA Curated Storefront was incorporated in Ohio and granted 501(c)(3) status. That year, Curated Storefront was the only organization in Ohio to receive a Public Art Network Award recognizing innovative and creative public art projects. Major programs through which ART implements its mission, include Curated Storefront, Outside the Box, Clayton Bailey’s World of Wonders, The Avant Garden ART Studios and Gallery program, and the Artist Residency Program at the I Promise School.OUR MISSION: Curated Storefront fosters community and economic growth in and around Akron, Ohio by fueling artistic innovation, commissioning public art, expanding access to arts education, and nurturing a thriving cultural ecosystem.VISION: Transforming Akron into a dynamic urban destination through the arts.
