Daniel G. Steger, ArchitectDESIGN - DETAIL - CRAFTAlong with designing new homes, I bring to life visions for reimagined residential spaces from Beacon Hill, the Back Bay, and Boston’s suburbs to the Florida coast, Wisconsin, Texas, Vermont, the Sea of Japan, and other locations. My own home was chosen as the primary set for the Academy Award-winning film American Fiction, and my design work has earned me the top award from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston.Along with transforming residences into places my clients seek for their ultimate joy and comfort, my extracurricular activities include serving as a board member of Envisioning Access. This non-profit organization is dedicated to making it easier for people with physical challenges to live with ease in their own homes.I was also awarded Big Brother of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts. During my time with them, I mentored a young boy from the age of nine to 19. And as a Fulbright Scholar, I taught English to high school students in Austria and have a working knowledge of Spanish in addition to German.More recently, I served for several years as the co-chair of the Boston Society for Architecture’s Residential Design Committee. Topics we addressed included creating energy-efficient green homes, custom builds, and technologies to bring residences into a more comfortable future.
