In light of the increase of anti-DEI policies around the country and in our state, undergraduate students who identify as LGBT+, undocumented, immigrants, and/or BIPOC are under severe stress, which is disrupting their college education. The objective of the scholarship is to help mitigate some of the mental health toll that these circumstances have created by dispersing discretionary funds in small amounts to help students overcome urgent barriers that can prevent them from staying in school. Money can be used for things like rent, gas, food, therapy, medication, utilities, etc.
