I beganCourage Clubin 2015 to help people free themselves from fear. Since then, I've traveled from San Francisco to Puerto Rico offering workshops, coaching, and community for the boldhearted and the just beginning.Before founding Courage Club, I was executive director of the innovation space New Leaf Initiative, which put State College, PA, on the map as one of Entrepreneur magazine’s best cities in the U.S.I've also led individual transformation and institutional change through mental wellness, social innovation, alternative ed, and coliving organizations, including a NC chapter of the largest grassroots mental health nonprofit.That's where I trained in the peer support modality that remains a key influence in Courage Club's values. This approach to healing says "I don't have this mastered, I don't have all the answers, but I've been where you are, I can shine a light on some perils and possibilities along the path, and we'll walk forward bravely together." Other transformational practices that inform my work include exposure therapy, polyvagal theory, trauma-informed therapy, and attachment styles in adults.I mentor for the StartingBloc Fellowship and Watson Institute because I love helping black sheep young adults who seek more than the status quo in their life. And making decadent desserts for my Sweet Talk events.
