Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami is the national Inuit representative organization in Canada. The majority of Inuit live in Inuit Nunangat, the Inuit homeland consisting of 51 communities across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, Nunavut, Nunavik and Nunatsiavut. Inuit Nunangat is a distinct geographic, political and cultural region that encompasses nearly one third of Canada's landmass, its entire Arctic coastline and significant offshore areas.
