About

We are two local families who have both lost a much loved family member to an undiagnosed heart condition. Andria lost her father when he was 35 years old and Denise & Robin lost their son Liam at 23 years old. We are organising a fundraising event in their memory called ‘Jog on with Smarden’.The goal is to raise awareness and funds for C.R.Y charity (Cardiac Arrest for the Young). The charity’s purpose is to prevent young and sudden deaths through screening, research and awareness. At least 12 young people in the UK die from an undiagnosed heart condition every week. We hope by raising awareness of the C.R.Y charity that it will help to reduce any future deaths.
