Hi, I’m Lindsey—lifelong athlete, Pilates instructor, and now, retreat convert.My journey started in the pool. I was a competitive swimmer at the national level for most of my life, and that drive to move, train, and push my limits has always been a part of me. But after years of hard training, I was looking for something different—something I genuinely enjoyed doing every day, and ideally, something I could share with an amazing group of awesome humans.That’s when I found RTR Pilates. Not only did it check every box for a great workout, it came with a built-in girl gang of supportive, strong, and seriously cool lady friends. It quickly became my second home, and before I knew it, I was trading in my day job for a mic and leading classes myself as an instructor.Fast forward to this past year(about 10 years later), when I went on my very first retreat—EVER. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was “a retreat person.” Would it be too woo-woo for me? Too much of the kumbaya stuff? Although hesitant, I decided to dive in head first and when I arrived at Imiloa in Costa Rica… everything changed.From the breathtaking jungle views and stunning accommodations to the warmth of the staff and the magic of the rainforest—it felt like I had found something I didn’t even know I was missing. I knew then and there: this is what I’m meant to do. I’m here to create unforgettable, welcoming, joy-filled experiences for anyone who wants to explore, connect, move, and grow—without pressure, without judgment.It was only four days, but it was the trip of my lifetime. And now, I’m beyond excited to go back—and bring you with me.Let’s move, laugh, reset, and soak up the pura vida together.Hi, I’m Taylor- Travel lover, movement guide, and your retreat host!Movement has always been a throughline in my life. I’ve explored it in many forms—barre, spinning, rock climbing—but yoga was my first love. It opened the door to deeper awareness, breath, and embodiment—and it’s the practice I’m most excited to share with you on this retreat.I’ve been with RTR Pilates since Fall 2023, a practice I love for its focus on strength, alignment, and deep core connection. While Pilates continues to challenge and support me, yoga is where I return to again and again—for grounding, flow, and presence. It’s this first love that I’ll be teaching and sharing with you throughout our time together on retreat.Over time, my personal relationship with movement evolved into a passion for guiding others. I discovered that leading others through movement brings me just as much joy as the movement itself. My classes blend flowy, breath-connected sequences with strength, stillness, and softness. Expect practices that invite you to drop out of your head and into your body—gently, powerfully, and with presence.My first retreat experience shifted something in me. I arrived unsure of what I was walking into and left feeling more connected, calm, and clear than I had in a long time. It gave me space to rest, cry, laugh, and reconnect—with myself and others. That sense of ease and togetherness is what I now strive to create in every retreat space I’m part of.This retreat invites you to show up just as you are. For me, that means teaching powerful movement, swimming in the ocean, or munching on a delicious treat poolside over a long chat. However it looks for you, there’s room for it here—and I can’t wait to share it with you.Each retreat brings something new, but the magic remains: we move, rest, cry, laugh, and come back to ourselves—together.Returning to Imiloa feels like coming home. It’s a place built with intention, where the staff greets you like family and the jungle wraps around you like a warm hug. I can’t wait to share this space with you—because the only thing better than being on retreat is being on retreat together.Let’s move, connect, unwind, and make memories you’ll carry long after we leave the jungle.
