Maggie Kehoe

After retiring in 2014, I began studying a variety of art techniques including pottery, mosaics, traditional acrylic painting, watercolor, colored pencil, and pan pastels. Before retiring and while my daughters were growing up, I created unique bead and wire art called Bead Dolls and sold them in the gift shops of art galleries around the country. I enjoyed sharing my bead and wire techniques by teaching bead classes for the Town of Cary. My daughters attended Sterling Montessori through 8th grade and I volunteered in the Art Room during that time. Teaching and sharing my love for art has been a part of my life for many years.Then after exploring all of these art styles, I came across Acrylic Fluid Art on YouTube. Acrylic Fluid Art is a wonderful art form by itself but works well as the base for mixed media collage. Now I'm able to bring my experience with other art techniques to create a truly unique piece of art. Any object can be painted using fluid art techniques including coasters, glass or plastic ornaments, vases, and more. You can make art that you will be proud to keep or give away as presents even if you believe you have no artistic talent. I will guide you in color selection, paint type, and opacity. You will be amazed with what you can make in my studio!
