Miracle Temple Baptist Church

Miracle Temple (formerly Second Baptist) was formed in 1894, (under the leadership of Rev. Shock Tucker). This ministry has been led by great leaders such as Rev. J. M. Holland, Rev. J. M. Boyd, Rev. J. D. Atkinson, Rev. D. D Henderson, Rev. J. H. Brown, Rev. A. G. Graves, Rev. E. E. Morgan, Rev. E. T. Byrd, and Pastor Emeritus Dr. Floyd M. Blackwell who was installed in 1976. After 35 years of great leadership at Miracle Temple, God led Dr. Blackwell to retire. In 2011 Dr. Blackwell and Miracle Temple selected Dr. Anthony R. Cooper to lead this phenomenal congregation.God gave Dr. Blackwell the theme, “Building a Ministry that will not Fail, that is Christ-Centered, Divinely Motivated, and Scripturally Supported”. Our church vision comes from Ephesians 4:10-16. Miracle Temple is a church where “Everybody is Somebody”.Dr. Anthony R. Cooper (an Apostle of the body of Christ) is teaching the Word of God with simplicity and understanding. God gave him a vision more than eighteen years ago from Ephesians 4:10-16 as well. We are seeing miracles, healing, and gifts being manifested. The Spirit of God is moving upon and within Miracle Temple.We are striving to touch communities, city, state, and the world. We have several ministries and programs that offer assistance to our community. If life is successful, homes will succeed. As homes succeed our community and church will succeed. As our community and church succeed, so will the nation succeed. “If the pain to change is greater than the pain to remain, there will be no change.”Dr. Anthony R. Cooper teaches us to “Work the Word and the Word will work for you”. It is our goal to please God as we walk in divine (Kingdom) authority. He has given us the keys (principles).
