The Dr. Evalina W. Bestman New Horizons Community Mental Health Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, community-based agency serving Miami-Dade County since 1974. Our mission is to provide accessible, culturally competent behavioral health care to underserved and multiethnic communities including Overtown, Liberty City, Little Haiti, and others.We offer a wide range of outpatient mental health, substance abuse, case management, crisis intervention, and rehabilitative services for adults and children. We specialize in supporting vulnerable populations such as individuals experiencing homelessness, co-occurring disorders, justice-involved youth and adults, and families at risk.Recognized nationally and internationally for our quality care, our multilingual staff (English, Spanish, French, Creole) ensures inclusive support. Through events and partnerships, we strengthen community health, empowerment, and resilience.
