How many times have you heard "this is good for being gluten free"? Unacceptable! Just because you cannot eat gluten, does not mean you do not deserve scrumdiddlyumptious treats! In fact, while almost all of my friends and family CAN eat gluten, they choose my treats over the gluten-filled regulars, because they genuinely prefer the taste! Sweet Charli Girl's goal is to have a bakery that everyone will crave, gluten free or otherwise.For years, I had a dream of a bakery filled with every sweet you could imagine. But after I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance, I thought those dreams were gone. After a few months of sulking, I decided to start gluten free recipe testing. What I discovered was that gluten free baked goods could be just as yummy as what I used to eat. Just like that, my bakery dream was rejuvenated!I adopted Charli Girl in November of 2015 from Heart of Texas Lab Rescue. It may be cliché, but I am truly not sure who rescued whom. She came into my life when I needed her most. She brought the joy back into my life, and along with that my passion for baking was revived. When I was coming up with a bakery name, I realized that she had to be front and center - my reason for smiling every day since she rescued me.
