Meet Shannon Piker - the founder + facilitator of Fort Collins, Colorado based - The Connection Co+Op. Shannon is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher + a certified Women’s Guidance Facilitator. She specializes in creating sacred spaces for humans to connect to one another while being held in her unconditional love + acceptance.After years of dealing with addiction, eating disorders, fatigue, + adrenal exhaustion due to developmental trauma; Shannon first stepped on her yoga mat in 2011. This moment started a lifelong journey into healing + personal growth. She was a first-time mom, inflexible, out of shape, unhappy + riddled with debilitating anxiety + depression. During that first class, Shannon’s dharma was revealed to her. She was meant to break the chains of ancestral trauma + abuse that spread rampant across her family for generations. She was meant to be a beacon of light that shone through the darkness of her own life experiences. Shannon was moved to do a significant amount of shadow work to help heal herself. This work contributed to her breaking the chains of trauma for her own family. She is a loving wife + a mother of two boys - Grayson + Sawyer.Shannon has weaved her darkness into light + once you experience her offerings, you know immediately that her light + energy are unique. Her grit gives her a distinctive style that is uniquely her own. She is thoughtful + strong while also being soft, calm + supportive. Because of her trials + tribulations in life, Shannon teaches with a level of wisdom, compassion, + empathy that is wise beyond her years. Like the lotus that rises from the mud, she has risen from the darkness to share light, beauty + love with her community at The Connection Co+Op.
