The Dance Annex/Annex Contemporary Dance Company

Annex Contemporary Dance Company (ACDC) is the resident professional performing dance troupe of The Dance Annex Studio in York, ME. Comprised of local dance professionals, ACDC is proud to engage some of the most talented dance artists in the area.Under the direction of Julie Hebb, the Company aims to provide opportunities for movement artists to perform, grow and flourish, and to continue to enrich local audiences, students and appreciators of the dance arts in the Seacoast and beyond with diverse presentations. Company dancers perform in The Dance Annex’s annual productions, including The Nutcracker, which is now in its sixth season and has become a Seacoast holiday tradition. In addition, ACDC artists participate in independent and shared programs of dance in the community throughout the year.Since its founding 2015, ACDC has produced multiple evening-length concerts at The Dance Hall in Kittery, Maine, and has collaborated with many local and visiting artists and musicians from the New England area and NYC. The Company has presented original work at The Star Theater in Kittery, The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, the Ogunquit Performing Arts Center, Jose Mateo’s Dance for World Community Festival in Cambridge, MA, and Lila Dance Festival in Rochester, NH.
