Wealth Watchers Inc. is a HUD-certified Housing Counseling and Community Development organization formed as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in December of 2001. Its mission is to build viable communities by expanding the knowledge of low-to-moderate income individuals for the purpose of understanding the importance of basic finance and accumulation of wealth. This mission is achieved by providing lending, education, neighborhood stabilization, community revitalization strategies and small business services.We offer both virtual and in-person classes for homebuying education.Course 1: Homebuying Orientation-Is an introduction to the homebuying process with steps given to start the process. Participants will have an understanding of terminology, what's needed, credit information and personnel information of who can assist them with accomplishing their goals . (2hrs)Course 2: Homebuying Education-Is a comprehensive course that discusses homeownership. Participants are with in 1 year of buying their first home and will learn the ends and outs of homeownership. After completing the class, a certificate will be given to satisfy the education requirement for down payment assistance for first time homebuyers.
