The aim of Younge Goals is ‘Bringing Your Goals Closer’! Founded by Dr Joanne Younge in 2025 to bring expert level CBT training to you by providing small group CBT training classes to help share the benefits of CBT skills for self-management, in a format which is accessible to and affordable for more people .An experienced BABCP accredited CBT psychotherapist with over 20 years of CBT practice, specialising in helping older individuals, based in Northern Ireland.With a background in psychiatry spanning more than 25 years, this professional holds an MSc in Specialist Cognitive Therapy (with distinction) following a postgraduate Diploma in CBT.They have received advanced training from renowned experts in the field, including Prof David Clark, Prof Paul Salkovskis, and others. Specialising in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, OCD, PTSD, and more, they also have a particular interest in CBT for weight loss management and chronic pain management.They have been involved in providing training and supervision for 9 years in the BABCP accredited QUB CBT training program and have recently supervised as an honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at University College London.With over 16 years of experience in supervising both multidisciplinary colleagues and trainees, they are also a published co-author of a CBT textbook and have research published in the CBT journal.Additionally, they hold an ILM level 5 Coaching and Mentoring qualification and offer staff coaching and mentoring services.Dr Younge is open to providing mental health, well-being, chronic pain or weight management training or coaching for individuals, small businesses, or organisations.
