This group consists of individuals who see themselves as ambassadors of Yoruba culture here in Taiwan. It’s one thing to come from a culture, but it’s another thing entirely to represent and uphold it. Yoruba in Taiwan is for people committed to showcasing and preserving Yoruba culture with pride and authenticity.While the group has been active for a long time, this year marks a significant milestone: the first-ever Yoruba Day in Taiwan! In the past, we’ve staged plays that depict the richness of Yoruba traditions. Earlier this year, a Yoruba-themed play was performed at the theater in Ximen, drawing attention to the depth of our heritage.But Yoruba Day is much more than just a play; it’s a full celebration of everything Yoruba! It’s about art, music, dance, and, of course, our delicious cuisine. This event is a vibrant tapestry of culture, showcasing the beauty, creativity, and flavors that make the Yoruba heritage so unique.
